I have a print Bishops Close Brechin which I am considering putting to auction. What should the reserve be set at?

It's great to see so much being done with his work! I started collecting them while stationed in Edzell in the 60's, and resumed in the 70's on my second tour. I have two Oil (on board) one pastel and several etchings of "old" Brechin. Some of them I have not seen on the internet.....

Congratulations on an excellent site and record of Watersons's work. Very useful and informative; Having purchased a good example of "old Montrose" mezzotint then finding out more about his work thanks to your site was most rewarding. Thank you.

I found your website when I was searching for information about a painter called A Munro. The only remote possibility I have come across is Ann Munro mentioned in David Waterson's chronology. I have a lovely painting signed A Munro and dated 1906 and I wonder if Ann Munro also painted. Are you able to tell me any more about her?

have just inherited some commercially reproduced DW etchings - one a xmas card dated 1906 (The Auld Kirk at St drostans), the others a different 9and quite unnatural) view of Brechin Cathedral and the third a view of Gannochy Bridge. Cant see any of the views in the archive and suspect i cant afford the technology to reproduce them well enough to add , but would be happy to lend them to others to do so and to pass on what i know of back story if seems of interest to you.

I have a David Waterson watercolour entitled "Brig o'Mooran, Glenesk" dated 1945. In original frame with label on the back. The view is almost identical to one of his drawings or etchings entitled the same. Any comments please?

An inspirational web site that at long last does justice to the many and varied talents of David Waterson. Congratulations on the content that I'm sure will require many more visits to digest. Good luck with future research that hopefully will reveal much more information and many more gems!

What an amazing feat after so many hours of work. Well Done! It is quite wonderful to see Waterson's work all together at last! The site is fantastic. Many congratulations on the launch!!
